Emma Coll ACA, CTA, Tax Manager

  • Emma joined McAleer Jackson in 2010 after obtaining a 1st Class in her BSc (Hons) Degree in Accounting at Queens University Belfast.
  • Emma was admitted as a Member of Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2014 and passed the Chartered Institute of Taxation examinations in May 2017.
  • She is now involved with all aspects of tax compliance and tax planning for clients as well as training and supervising the work of members of the taxation department.

John Gale CTA, Chartered Tax Advisor

  • John joined McAleer Jackson in 2016 as a Chartered Tax Advisor with over 20 years’ experience advising individuals and business clients with regard to their tax affairs.
  • He has worked at a senior level in both personal and corporate tax and specialises in the tax issues affecting Owner-Managed Businesses.
  • John has advised on the tax aspects of business development plans, ownership structures, tax incentives, employee reward schemes, succession plans and exit strategies during his career to date.
  • He has a particular interest in innovation and the associated tax reliefs including R&D Tax Relief and the Patent Box.

Ryan Henry MIATI, Trainee Chartered Accountant

  • Ryan joined McAleer Jackson in April 2016 after qualifying as a Member of Accounting Technicians Ireland in September 2014.
  • Ryan is currently studying for membership of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
  • Ryan specialises in PAYE, VAT and tax compliance work.



 Niamha Gallen, Trainee Tax Technician

  • Niamha joined McAleer Jackson in March 2017 with a 1st Class BSc (Hons) Degree in Business Studies with Accounting from University of Ulster
  • Niamha is currently studying for membership of the Association of Tax Technicians.
  • Her work includes the preparation of regular VAT, PAYE and Income Tax returns as well as providing support to senior members within the department.
